This four mile hike begins at the Oregon Hill(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon_Hill) Overlook located near the intersection of South Pine Street and Oregon Hill Parkway(https://www.google.com/maps/place/Oregon+Hill+Overlook/@37.5354739,-77.4502771,530m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x89b1116b9becb467:0xff2ca4e798abb0ad!8m2!3d37.5353208!4d-77.4505185!16s%2Fg%2F119x098lf?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTIxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D). We will follow Tredegar Street to Brown's Island and take the Canal Walk to 14th Street and cross the river on the Mayo Bridge to the Flood Wall. We'll take the Flood Wall(https://rictoday.6amcity.com/floodwall-history-richmond-va) to the Potterfield Bridge(https://jamesriverpark.org/t-tyler-potterfield-memorial-bridge/). We'll get the obligatory Group Photo on Brown's Island before heading back to our starting location.
This is a hike over improved woodland trails and paved surfaces with almost no serious elevation changes. This hike will begin at the posted time, not five or ten minutes later. If you need help on directions, click on the small inset map to display a larger interactive map. When "Directions" (upper left) is selected, the best route from your location to the Meet Up rendezvous spot will be calculated for you.
Participants should be able to maintain a pace of 2.5 miles per hour and possess the ability to negotiate rocks, roots, low hanging branches, uncertain footing on hills, bridges and toxic plants in season. There is no parking lot. On street parking is available on one side of Oregon Hill Parkway and on S. Laurel and S. Pine Streets.

Water bottle, clothing appropriate for the season, Dramamine, a hat or bonnet, aspirin, sun block, practical footwear, & band aids.

Restroom facilities are available on Brown's Island and the Tredegar Parking Lot.
