Welcome to the Not Yet a Novelist Haiku Workshop!
Join us for a fun and creative afternoon of exploring the art of haiku writing. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just starting, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to dive into the world of writing and community.
In collaboration with Crown of Creation 5th Street and Guidry Press, this in-person event helps you learn the basics of haiku writing, receive feedback on your work, and connect with fellow poetry enthusiasts!
Rowan offers a guided experience and allows you to connect with others in the community. Rowan will break folks into groups with different prompt options during the event. Folks who RSVP 5 days before can get early access to the haiku prompts for the night by messaging Rowan via their Instagram (@gro_project_ro). Folks can perform their haiku during the workshop, with the option of being recorded.
Rowan is partnering with the Crown of Creation 5th Street to help host the event. Guidry Press, a sibling art book collaboration, has provided sheets of dyed, textured paper for the final drafts of your work. They'll be attending the event as our featured vendor!
We will have a handful of other vendors to check out, and materials and snacks will be provided. No experience necessary!
