North Bay Homeschool & Alt-Education Spring Picnic 2026This is our end-of-year gathering—a celebration exclusively for the alternative education community of the SF Bay Area and Sonoma County! Homeschoolers, unschoolers, micro-schools, nature-based programs, co-ops, pods, and the curious: this one's for us.
We're returning for our third year at Morton's Warm Springs in Sonoma Valley, a beloved family wellness retreat, for an afternoon in nature, swimming in healing geothermal waters, enjoying farm-to-table comfort food, and building the kind of real community that's hard to find elsewhere. With 200 or more of us coming together, this is a rare an super special opportunity for our alternative education community to gather together in one place!

The café & pools will be open for all! The hot spring-fed pools will be sitting at a perfect 90–94° and Cafe 108° will be serving their farm-to-table organic menu—nourishing comfort food, house-made drinks, coffee bar and organic dairy and non-dairy ice cream treats.
BRING: Feel free to BYO lawn chairs, sunshade pop-ups, swimsuits, sunshirts/rash guards, towels, goggles, snacks, non-glass water bottles, lawn games, and your curiosity (Sonoma Creek is right there to explore)!
:: A note on Sunscreen Use :: We ask everyone to use sunshirts/rash guards over sunscreen wherever possible. Sunscreens wash off more quickly in the warm pools, and many brands contain ingredients harmful to our water clarity and the environment.
⚠️ PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This is a private event (not a general admission day at Morton's). Tickets may sell out, so register early.
