This is one of two concerts at Jack London State Historic Park.Set amid rolling oak woodlands and storied vineyards, Jack London State Historic Park continues to spark imagination and discovery. Once the home and working ranch of celebrated author Jack London and his wife, Charmian Kittredge London, the park reflects their adventurous partnership. Charmian—an accomplished writer and chronicler in her own right—helped shape the legacy visitors experience today.
This 1,565-acre park blends natural beauty and cultural history, thoughtfully stewarded by Jack London Park Partners, the first nonprofit entrusted with managing a California state park. Arrive early to explore the ruins of the Londons’ planned dream house and step inside Charmian’s later home—now a museum of their lives and travels. With trails, exhibits, and sweeping views across the Valley of the Moon, the park reflects Jack London’s deep connection to the land and honors the enduring presence of the Pomo, Coast Miwok, and Wappo peoples.
Thank you to Jack London Park Partners for their partnership in making this concert possible.
For the 11th season, IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild tours the American West. Mountain tops, old-growth forests, and sunny meadows replace the traditional concert hall in the series featuring pianist Hunter Noack on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano. Listen through wireless headphones and wander afield with the music as a soundtrack to your experience in the wild.
