An Interactive Planning Workshop for Nonprofit Leaders
About this Event

As the Trump administration prepares to take office, nonprofit organizations face growing concerns about their ability to operate. We're facing a direct threat to our communities and the people we serve. The incoming Trump administration represents an unprecedented challenge to immigrant rights, civil liberties, and the core values of our work. This isn't business as usual - we need to act now to protect our people, strengthen our organizations, and build collective resistance. This intensive workshop brings together nonprofit leaders to move beyond fear into action. Together, we'll create concrete protection plans for our communities, develop rapid response protocols for our organizations, and build the strong networks we need for the fight ahead. This is a space for honest conversation, strategic planning, and building collective power in the face of what's coming.

Goals:

  1. Gain Clarity on Potential Threats: Understand how the incoming Trump administration’s policies and rhetoric could impact nonprofit organizations, including concerns about 501(c)(3) status, funding, and community support.
  2. Develop Strategic Safeguards: Learn actionable strategies to protect your organization’s mission, status, and funding while continuing to advocate effectively and legally for historically marginalized communities.
  3. Strengthen Advocacy and Anti-Oppression Practices: Gain tools to integrate anti-oppression principles into your work and prepare for sustained advocacy efforts during the mid-term elections and beyond.
  4. Start Creating Tangible Actions: Collaborate with peers to develop actionable protection plans that safeguard your communities and ensure continued access to critical resources and services.

Who Should Attend: Nonprofit leaders, staff, and advocates concerned about the incoming administration’s impact on their organizations and communities.
