About this Event
Through five distinct lenses — historical archives, contemporary urban identity, human connection, the complexities of contemporary society, and cultural production, Noiascape invites 4 photographers to discuss how they depict and experience the city. The evening is chaired by the cultural strategist Zac Procter.
Join us on 15th May to hear different ways of seeing a city.
About the creatives:
- Brynley Odu Davies:
Brynley Odu Davies is a London-based photographer working across portraiture, documentary, and cultural storytelling. His work centres on British identity - from artists’ studios to music venues to the streets of Peckham — building a long-term archive of the people and places that shape the country today.
- Cecilia Di Paolo:
Originally from Italy, Cecilia’s practice explores intimacy, tenderness, and love through photography, film, and performance. At the heart of Cecilia’s work is the intensely human pursuit of connection, shown through the tactility of her still life and self-portraiture.
- Jimmi Wing Ka Ho:
Jimmi Wing Ka Ho is a visual artist based in Hong Kong and London. His work explores themes of migration, colonial history, and memory. Working with photography, found materials, and installation, he engages with fragmented archives to question how identity and belonging are constructed.
- René Lazový:
Artist René Lazový’s practice explores themes of contemporary philosophy, environmental observations, the relationship between humankind and nature, climate change, technology, and the complexities of individuals navigating an imperfect human society.
- Zac Procter:
Zac Procter is a creative and cultural strategist, focused on cities, architecture, design, and development. He works with the likes of leading museums, purpose-led businesses, and emerging creative districts on editorial projects and content strategy, as well as media campaigns, industry relationships, and future growth. He's a regular contributor to media titles such as Monocle, Wallpaper, and the Evening Standard, while lecturing at University of the Arts London.
