NEXT SCRATCH NIGHT:
OCTOBER 14TH 7.30PM @ Gravitas
NOCTURNAL SCRATCH NIGHTS are monthly scratch nights for performance makers to test out their work in freedom to a loving audience. Structured so that every performer/piece has a slot of 10 mins to share what they want - whether that be a fully formed piece, a work in progress or an extract of a larger work etc. Artists can gather feedback in whatever way they find useful, this will be agreed upon by the artists and us prior to the event so that we can best help makers develop their piece!
Work might range from contemporary performance, stories, dance, poetry to abstract physical collages, comedy stand up, musical compositions, circus juggling, short films, yodelling or ensemble screaming, and much more, every night is going to be unique!
NOCTURNAL intends to build community, create new connections and networks. So parts of the night might involve an invitation to talk to the person next to you or play a game. We want to make networking and making new friends less intimidating!
NOCTURNAL gives artists the space to fail, learn, create, collaborate, and bounce ideas off a supportive audience.
Come and show your support for some interdisciplinary delights!
GRAVITAS Accessibility: The venue is accessible and street level. Unfortunately, building toilets are down 17 steps, the staircase has two hand rails (one for each side) all the way to the bottom.
This event is over 18 policy.

Have you got a work in progress you'd love to test out in front of an audience? A character you've been dreaming of ressurecting or developing? A performance you'd like to share a snippet of? An act that doesn't quite fit in your usual performance night lineup?
Email [email protected] with a pitch of what you want to perform, who you are, and why performing at a scratch night would be beneficial for you or the work. Please let us know if there are any tech requirements you need too, and we will do our best to accommodate. Payment is door share.
We invite performers from all backgrounds, disciplines, gender expressions, sexualities and those who identify as neurodiverse - we welcome all!
NOCTURNAL ARTS AND EVENTS is a self funded, self sustained event company, queer-owned and run. We rely on people attending our events and supporting us with what they can, so that we can share and bring the arts to Glasgow. All profits made from tickets goes to paying our wonderful performers. NOCTURNAL is the perfect way to support and empower local, emerging artists.

Tickets with corkage allow you to BYOB. On the door tickets will be available too, but book ahead to avoid disappointment! [No one will be turned away for lack of funds - drop us an email or a DM on insta, and we'll be happy to work something out.]
