NO KINGS 2.0 – MEMPHIS RESISTANCE FEST 2025
October 17–19, 2025
WHY MEMPHIS?
Memphis has always been on the frontlines of democracy and justice. Now, with Trump’s executive order federalizing law enforcement here and deploying the National Guard into our city, Memphis has become the testing ground for authoritarian power. That’s why our response will be bigger, deeper, and more rooted in community than a single protest.
We’re turning No Kings 2.0 into a three-day festival of resistance, learning, and healing.
THE SCHEDULE
📚 Friday, October 17 – Teach-In
We begin with an educational evening designed to equip both new and veteran democracy defenders. Through speakers, workshops, and dialogue, we’ll strengthen our collective understanding of the threats we face and the tools we have to fight back. More information on this to come soon.
✊ Saturday, October 18 – Mass Mobilization
Green space at Poplar & Highland; 11 AM - 3 PM
The centerpiece of the weekend: Memphis joins the national day of action with a festival-style protest. Expect powerful speakers, music, art, and collective action that sends one clear message: America has No Kings. While Trump tries to occupy our city, we will fill it with joy, resistance, and people power.
➡️ Our mobilization will also serve as a collection drive for The Immigrant Pantry, so bring items to help support families directly impacted by these attacks.
💜 Sunday, October 19 – Healing Day
Movements are built not just on resistance but on resilience. On Sunday we gather for community, mental health, and well-being. This day is for grounding ourselves, caring for one another, and renewing our strength for the fights ahead. More information on this to come.
OUR MESSAGE
Memphis isn’t just participating in No Kings 2.0, we are leading it.
• We’ll confront authoritarianism with knowledge.
• We’ll challenge fear with mass, peaceful resistance.
• We’ll answer violence and intimidation with care and healing.
This is more than a protest. It’s a demonstration of what democracy looks like when people come together: informed, organized, joyful, and unafraid.
On October 17–19, Memphis will set the tone for the nation: We have No Kings.
