No Disco Like the Cosmos is an interplanetary cinematic experience hosted by Queensland Museum Tropics coinciding with International Astronomy Day. View the vast and ceaseless beauty of our universe through the eyes of astronomical expert Murray Griffin, who will provide a short educational foray into the stars. Murray Griffin is a space aficionado with over 15 years of experience. From guiding stargazers at the Charleville Cosmos Centre to igniting young minds with captivating astrophysics lessons. Before segueing into a more abstract experience of the cosmos through projection, music and dance, recalling the living beauty and entirely unpredictable nature of the human experience on our wondrous planet and beyond. No Disco Like the Cosmos is brought together by a cocktail of Townville artists and volunteers. Led by local dancers Jordan Galliot and Maddsion Armstrong, the pair weave a magical spectacle of dancers into mesmerising projections produced by Tszar (Aaron Ashley). Local musician Isadoré (Isabelle Reynaud) will be underscoring the evening with an original composition to support the performances. Doors open from 6pm with Wissalea (Jack Killalea) opening from 6:30 - 7:15. Main performance begins at 7:30. Bean bags provided!
