Know your numbers at our No-Cost Cholesterol and Wellness Screening! This screening includes: Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, fasting glucose, blood pressure, body composition and, for those who qualify, an A1C screening.The screening takes place at the MJB Conference Room at Blessing Health Hannibal on Thursday, April 23. You can register for any available seat in the 15-minute time slots from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m.
Cholesterol screening requires a 12 hour fast for all participants and measures total cholesterol, HDL, LDL triglycerides, fasting glucose, blood pressure, body composition, and for those that qualify, an A1C screening. (A history of diabetes/pre-diabetes, or elevated fasting glucose is required for the A1C screening.)
Please drink plenty of water and take any medications..
The American Heart Association recommends individuals 20 years of age or older have their cholesterol checked every 5 years; those with known risk need more frequent monitoring. Register online now or call 217-277-5000.
