Nin Yoga Book Club — Dictionary of Lost WordsJoin us for our next Nin Yoga Book Club, where we’ll be diving into The Dictionary of Lost Words — a powerful, tender novel about language, women’s voices, and the words that shape our world.
Saturday 8th March
2:30–4:00pm
Nin Yoga Penrith
Set in Oxford during the early 1900s, this story follows Esme Nicoll, a young girl who grows up surrounded by the creation of the first Oxford English Dictionary. As words are collected, Esme begins to notice which ones are valued — and which are discarded. The novel asks a simple but profound question: who decides which words matter?
“Words are how we think, how we communicate, how we remember. But some words are lost — not because they don’t exist, but because they aren’t deemed important enough to be written down.”
Expect thoughtful conversation, shared reflections, cups of tea, and that familiar Nin Yoga sense of community. No pressure to be a literary expert — just come curious and ready to chat.
