Orienteering at night brings an extra challenge - only being able to see as far ahead as your torch will light up! Controls are marked with reflective tape, so bring a headlamp or torch to help you find your way around the course.We’ll be using courses from the Southland Schools Champs - all follow tracks, but everything looks a little different after dark!
Important Safety Info:
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult for health and safety reasons.
We recommend carrying a cell phone - a safety contact number will be provided at registration.
Registration: Pacific Avenue Equestrian area, near Oreti Beach. Signposted from Dunns Road.
Bring spare torch/batteries and a whistle.
Start anytime between 6:00-7:30pm (course closure 9pm)
