𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: One year before he would indoctrinate a new generation of young horror fans with The Monster Squad. Fred Dekker wrote and directed this horror/comedy that's ‘50s sci-fi schlock with an ‘80s twist. NIGHT OF THE CREEPS finds a pair of college nerds who must fend off undead corpses resurrected by alien slugs – all while trying to pledge a fraternity. This is camp in the highest order – with body-horror, Romero-esque zombies and a scene chewing Tom Atkins as an icy cool detective.
