From April - October our Sunday Classics series is taking a trip back to the '70s! Seventies Sundays showcases some of the most beloved films from the “New Hollywood” era on the big screen. Featuring early works from iconic filmmakers Steven Spielberg & George Lucas to eccentric hits like Harold and Maude and Smokey and the Bandit. 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: Stage choreographer Bob Fosse worked on some of the most memorable stage productions of the 20th century, and in the ‘70s began directing films. His most notable work is 1972’s CABARET about a young American dancer, played by Liza Minnelli, performing in Germany during the last days of the Weimar Republic. The film took home 8 Academy Awards, including Best Direction and Best Actress, and is considered to be one of the best stage-to-film adaptations of all time.
