Nickodemus -

Nickodemus is a traveler at heart—a connector of worlds, scenes, and people since the mid-90s. Over his extensive career as a touring DJ and producer, including five albums, hundreds of remixes in his “Remix Machine” and two dozen compilations of cutting edge up incoming producers from around the World, remains one of the most important leaders of global fusion and the heavy beats we yearn for in the club. His music has long thrived on the close relationships and mutual respect of friends he’s built across the continents, felt throughthe worldly potions he cooks up in the studio, and spanning electronic sounds rooted in Latin, African, and Eastern instrumentation.

His latest album, Soul & Science is acollaborative effort between old and new friends, recorded in several countries while touring as well as his home studio / record room / memorabilia museum. Nickodemus’ sound is often focused on the connective tissue of his many live collaborations and the electronic solitude of his record-filled studio. Through his much-loved labels Wonderwheel Recordings & Turntables on the Hudson Music, he’s not only regularly releasing some of the most current, eclectic sounds in the biz, but focusing deeply on artist development and creating long-lasting moments that live on far longer than their track length. The music you hear in his releases are filled with expression, reflection, and care; they’re both open-minded and deeply focused, a rarity at times in today’s overcrowded music industry.

As a remixer, he’s also lent his “Remix Machine” to a wide range of artists including pioneers like Bob Marley and Nina Simone, as well as other like minded genre-welders like Thievery Corporation, Quantic, and Mr. Scruff. Throughout his career he’s also carved an important niche in the live music scene with his beloved Turntables on the Hudson parties that have popped up everywhere from New York to Cairo. Currently on tour around Latin America, Europe, Africa & USA, Nickodemus’ latest expression is another portrait into the importance of shared ideas and the dialogue artists can share. It’s another bass-heavy global party and we’re all invited.

Yemanjo - "La Misma Fuente” is an album that could have only come from the mind of Yemanjo, and the music here reveals producer/musician Ben Harris in the full bloom of his artistic promise.
A native of the culturally and musically rich Bay Area, Harris became enamored of the music of Latin America and Africa at a young age. Now an internationally touring DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Yemanjo has amassed a prolific body of work on respected labels in the organic/global house genre including Cafe de Anatolia, Cosmic Awakenings and Wonderheel Recordings. “La Misma Fuente” (Wonderwheel Recordings) is his first full length album in many years and with it Yemanjo joins the ranks of some of the finest producers in the global music scene including El Buho, Chancha Via Circuito and Thornato.
Translating as "The Same Source", the staggering variety of genre, sound design and featured artists on “La Misma Fuente” all relate to the concept that the world's diversity manifests out of an essential unity.
With guest singers and musicians from Mali, Colombia, Argentina, Hungary and beyond, the whole album pulsates with an irresistible combination of cracking electronic beats, hypnotic synths and bass, traditional acoustic instruments and vocals in many languages.
Thematically diverse, melodically complex and rhythmically compelling, "La Misma Fuente" is a testament to the relentless wanderlust of its author, and a fine addition to the already legendary catalogue of Wonderwheel Recordings.

Tyler has evolved his Partner Yoga experience and his time at Ecstatic Dance to practice his offering of sharing Dance with another, playing with Shared Weight, and Center of Balance, Rolling & Sliding Point of Contact, Fluid Lifts, Floor Play, and other dynamics present in this deep, intimate, playful practice. Tyler is the CoFounder of Ecstatic Dance Bay Area, and also teaches Doubles Partner Yoga.

Shannon Sahaja is a dedicated yogini, dancer, artist and lover of the earth. With 17 years of experience as a movement facilitator, Shannon is devoted to inspiring students to experience their own essence through play, inner strength and nourishment. She is well known for her loving approach to yoga that was developed while living and teaching at Harbin Hot Springs and through her mentorship with Angela Farmer. She brings delight to the space with her unique ability to create safety while spicing things up with humor and spontaneity.
