Niagara Frontier Antique and Classic Boats announces its 46th Annual Antique & Classic Boat Show, to be held at the Buffalo Launch Club, the oldest power boating club in the world, 503 East River Road, Grand Island, NY, on Saturday, September 6, 2025. This year we are excited to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal with an appearance of the replica canal boat Seneca Chief, which was built at Buffalo’s Canalside by the Buffalo Maritime Center and over three hundred local volunteers! Also featured will be boats built on the Niagara Frontier: Richardson, Switzer, Cayuga, Jafco, and Custom Craft, to name a few.
We are expecting over 100 vintage mahogany runabouts, cruisers, outboards, and early fiberglass “glassics.” Boats are displayed, both on land and in water and span several decades. This is a family event, with hands-on Kids Camp, working model boat displays, nautical flea market and a fantastic classic car show with room for over 200 registered cars! As a special feature, Dr. John Montague, Professor Emeritus at Buffalo State College and founder of the Buffalo Maritime Center, will present a fascinating seminar on the history of the Erie Canal and construction of the Seneca Chief.
Admission to the show is free and open to the public, with the exception of a $10.00 parking fee at the Launch Club. Past shows have attracted over 5,000 spectators, with music, food and beverages throughout the day.
