Perhaps you're ready to dive into some fun and creative sewing with your overlocker ! Once you're comfortable with the basics, there’s a whole range of techniques you can explore to add more flair to your projects. Let’s break it down:
We will recap threading and then move onto more decorative sewing and various finishes using decorative threads. We can even sew double seams with 2 different coloured threads, who would have thought you can sew a blanket stitch! We will also look at 2 thread sewing and flatlocking, piping, inserting zips and using wire in the edges.

- 1/2 metre of calico
- Some fabric you would like to experiment with
Janome sewing machines will be provided on the day along with a hot drink. You will also receive a 10% discount card to use in-store.

I have been involved with sewing and dressmaking for all of my working life and nothing gives me greater pleasure than passing on my knowledge to people who want to learn to sew. I enjoy sewing, dressmaking, all types of craft and especially machine embroidery.
