NewVineyards Company presents: Living Forever Waiting To Die
Living Forever Waiting to Die is a one-act play written by jazz musician Warren Oree, founder of Lifeline Music Coalition and the Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, promoting Undefeated Jazz for over 30 years. The play tells a bold, soulful story of love, longing, and the quiet toll of incarceration, all infused with the live sound of a jazz saxophone. When a man is sentenced to ten years in Pr*son, he and his beloved must find creative ways to preserve their bond across Pr*son walls. This theatrical production seeks to raise awareness, inspire reform, humanize incarcerated individuals, and explore the enduring power of love. Its intended audience includes youth, families of incarcerated people, communities supporting those left behind, policymakers, Pr*son facilities, and the general public.
The production is directed by Angela Cooper, whose career spans over 30 years in community theatre, industrial films, pageantries, commercials, and print. In August 2025, she made her Off-Off Broadway directorial debut with Mercy in partnership with New York’s The Acting Studio.
