A full day of entertainment and a celebration of art for all ages, including live music and dance performances, a community art project, public art walk unveiling the student mural boards for project SHINE, craft/vendor booths, carnival with kiddie rides and games, and more!
Join us as we explore the 2026 Theme: America at 250 – Local Stories, Shared Futures
This year’s SHINE theme is an exploration of how history, community, and identity connect across time — right here in Newton. Meet the talented youth artists who will bring this theme to life on painted mural boards. You will see the mural boards up close and meet the artists in person to learn about their technique and vision. Be sure to stop by and add a swash of paint to our community mural painting party led by artist Caoin O’Durgy.
The performance stage showcases the talent of Newton’s youth with music and dance throughout the festival.
