Newport Theater presents: SLAYAWAY CAMP

Welcome to Newport Theater's first ever SLAYAWAY CAMP: A burlesque/variety/cabaret workshop weekender that features a variety of teachers from Chicago and beyond, all held at the Newport Theater over Labor Day weekend!

When you are attending workshops in production skills, improvisational dancing tricks, and burlesque specialty skills, this event will also provide a centralized location for attendees to hang out and connect with other burlesque performers.

Workshops will be taking place in multiple spaces, with community events largely held in our Main Theater.

The Newport Theater is up a flight of stairs with no elevator, but access to a Genesis portable mobile stairlift (rated up to 400 pounds) is available. Please email [email protected] advance of your arrival to coordinate entry/operators/liability waivers.

There are four single-stall non-gendered restrooms available onsite.

There will be a concert next door at Wrigley Field -- we recommend using SpotHero for longterm affordable parking and allowing extra time for travel to the area.
