The New Zealand National Poetry Slam returns to Tāmaki Makaurau. Poets from around the country will battle it out for the title of 2024 National Champion!
This year, poets representing Wellington, Christchurch, Hawkes Bay, Tauranga, Hamilton, Nelson/Golden Bay, Dunedin, & Auckland will take the stage for one night of competition.
Who will be crowned the 2024 Champion? Judges chosen from the audience will decide!

More than just a slam, the NZNPS 2024 will feature a programme of events to compliment the main event. Check out these events, which include a panel and a writing workshop, all taking place across the 29th and 30th of November.
Established in 2011, NZ Poetry Slam is an independent community run by a committee of poets from across Aotearoa.
