Ravnica - A day to remember
Ravnica was a city unlike any other across the multiverse. Its vast cityscape stretches as far as the eye can see. Such is it's grandeur that not only was the planet names after it, but the entire plane. It is sprawling, bustling metropolis full of magic, wonder, and it's 10 guilds constantly vying for power and control over the land.
It was a world at war until the leaders of the guilds signed a magical accord, known as the guildpact, ushering in an end to the centuries of war. But not an ultimate end to conflict. For the next 10,000 years it was a world where one could enjoy a life of wealth and prosperity, as long as you knew which officials to bribe.
But this relative life of peace would not last forever. On the decamilenial celebration of the signing of the guildpact. The ancient vampire Szadek weaved a tangled web of lies which ultimately lead to a war which resulted in the destruction of the guildpact. The only solution was for the contract being taken up by a mysterious mortal from another universe. Jace became the living embodiment of the peace, the living guildpact.
76 years later the world would be struck again as the Elder Dragon Nicol Bolas invaded from across the multiiverse in order to secure his ascension to Godhood. Along with his army of undead, Bolas brought forth a terrible war which decimated the city and its population.
It was a war however that the Ravnicans won. After banishing Nicol Bolas to an isolated plane unknown to all but 2, it was time to rebuild, a process which is still underway today.
It's been a slow process. However life seems to be returning somewhat to normal. The markets are back and trade is healthy. In fact this year will mark the very first celebration of the victory against Bolas not 2 years ago.

“Ravnica - A day to remember” is a day game taking place at the first memorial of the end of the war of the Spark It is both a time of celebration, and a time to remember those lost. It will act as a prelude to the up and coming Ravnica larp campaign. It will take place before the phyrexian invasion that the campaign will be focused on.
It is a chance for participants to dip their toes into the world without committing to a character idea. The game will be soft canon, with actions and consequences not impacting the campaign. However the characters that attend can choose to remember the events - though how accurate your characters memories could be debated.
