The nation’s most wildly creative public participatory event in the greatest city in the world! The Village Halloween Parade will be Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. on Sixth Avenue Street for its 52nd Annual celebration!
About the Parade
The Village Halloween Parade is a New York institution and was started back in 1974 by master puppeteer Ralph Lee as a festive Halloween celebration for friends and family in his New York City neighborhood. Over forty years later the parade has become one of the largest annual Halloween parties in the city attracting over 100000 costumed participants and millions of spectators.
The parade is packed full of musicians dancers artists and incredible large-scale puppets for everyone’s viewing pleasure. A fun alternative or add-on to trick or treating – this parade truly has something for everybody on Halloween night.

Parade Route
The Parade runs STRAIGHT up 6th Ave from KING St to West 15th.
You can view the Parade from the east or west side of 6th Ave between King St and West 15th
The Parade starts at 7:00 pm and ends around 11:00 pm.
The streets are most crowded between Bleecker and 14th Street so you might consider getting there early or try another place along the route.
