Calling all daywalkers! Make Lincoln Center your Halloween destination with all treats and no tricks for a CAN I KICK IT? screening of Blade (1998), but with the added twist of a live original soundtrack by DJ 2-Tone Jones! Put on your best Halloween costume and join us for a bloody good episode of Beats, Rhymes & Sights, Lincoln Center's celebration of the artistry, spirit, and history of Hip-Hop! The night’s entertainment is co-curated by cultural influencer Xavier “X” Jernigan and mixtape masters and musical entrepreneurs Gerald Watson and DJ 2-Tone Jones, co-founders of Shaolin Jazz , the lifestyle brand that explores the intersections of Hip-Hop, jazz, and martial arts culture.
It takes place on Friday, Oct 31st at the David Rubenstein Atrium at the Lincoln Center beginning at 7:30pm. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so plan to arrive early.
About Blade
A half-mortal, half-immortal is out to avenge his mother's death and rid the world of vampires. The modern-day technologically advanced vampires he is going after are in search of his special blood type needed to summon an evil god who plays a key role in their plan to execute the human race.
