New Year's Eve at a viking longhall!
We'll be making this a New Year to remember. Come on in to our newly decorated longhall for a night of music, celebration and assorted frivolity.
Bands in the Longhall. Eccentric Circles hit you with their own bluegrass riddled brand of gothic folk-rock. Evans & Wood will start the evening off with jigs, reels, foot-stompers and singalongs.
Bar & Food. Ales, mead, cocktails and more. Sue's famous curry. All at prices that won't rupture your coinpurse.
Chill out in the Shorthouse. A space for conversation, games and community, or just a wee rest from the dancing and cavorting.
Outdoor Firepit. Take in the atmosphere of Moorforge Viking Settlement, with a mug of mead, around a warming brazier.
New Year Countdown, Singaround and Hootenanny Session. The climax of the evening. Celebrate the turn of the year with us in the longhall. There will be an open music session before and after.

Food and drink will be available on site at low prices. You are also welcome to bring your own.
Overnight camping space is limited and will need to be managed carefully. If you wish to stay overnight, please let us know in advance. In addition, if you intend to use a vehicle larger than an average car or small van, please check with us first.
N.B. Moorforge is in a fairly remote site and, especially at this time of year, can be subject to the intemperate whims of our beautiful Cumbrian weather. It can also get a little smoky. Whilst an authentic viking age site, we do everything we can to be as accessible as possible. Please do contact us if you have any needs or queries.
Please: bring a torch or lantern as well as blankets and cushions as needed. Wear practical and appropriate clothing, and decent boots. Take your rubbish away with you, where possible. Be awesome to one another.
