Training Requirements
- New users are recommended to complete the HMIS Introductory Training before the live session and come prepared with questions 😊
- The New User Packet must be submitted to the team 2 days before the scheduled training.
- Your laptop/desktop is required to view training.
- Fair Warning! Participation and data entry is required (either via chat or the mic). We will call on users throughout training to answer questions and share their screens. We operate with Cameras on 😊
- It is recommended to have 2 screens if possible! – one to watch and one to practice data entry. If you do not have 2 screens, no worries, we will ask you to share your screen and walk you through the steps.
- The training link (Teams) will be sent directly to confirmed users the Monday before training.
This is an Introductory Training course that will familiarize you with the basic functionalities of ServicePoint for the following workflows:
- Emergency Shelter (including RHY providers)
- Day Shelters
- Transitional Housing Programs
- Supportive Services Only (typically case management programs)
- OTHER (Typically case management-only programs)
- Coordinated Entry
If your program type is not on this list, please select a training containing your workflow.
This training will cover topics including searching and creating client records, entering client data, updating client information, and exiting a client from a program. The training will also cover basic case management functions, such as creating goals, services, and client referrals.
