Are you a fan of the sound that you hear from groups such as VOCES8 and Tenebrae? Aside from the obvious selection of first-class singers, what is it that makes these groups so fantastic?
Join New Sussex Singers' Musical Director in a workshop on how to be a better ensemble singer. Seb will lead singers through 5 brilliant and varied contemporary choral pieces and work on them through exercises in blend, balance, tone, tuning, timing and harmony - all elements that need to be in play to succeed in high-level ensemble singing.
To get the most from this workshop, it is recommended that participants have prior experience of singing in choirs as there will be some focus on fairly advanced ensemble techniques.
The music
Ivo Antognini - Come to me
Eleanor Daley - Grandmother Moon
Dan Forrest - Good night, dear heart
Anna Disley-Simpson - A way through the woods
trad. arr. Jonathan Quick - Loch Lomond
