Capricorn is an active earth sign ruled by Saturn with an ancient quality to the rules it operates within. It is an energy akin to our planet building a mountain range over millions of years. Saturn revels in the slow work it takes to build something momentous and timeless. It is the laws of nature, the laws of karma and all timelines that are unfathomable. So, when there is a new moon in a sign that signifies things that take so long to materialize, it can seem a little less like a new beginning and more like a paragraph break in an epic. But given that this new moon will be closely conjunct a Mercury Mars conjunction, we could be in for something much more dynamic. Mercury/Mars energy is much more ungrounded than that of Capricorn. Mars wants to act quickly and aggressively before thinking and given that Mercury signifies things like communication, transportation and technology, we could see rash behavior in these areas. But given there is a trine from Uranus to this grouping of planets, there could be a surge in innovative thinking. The trick will be to translate this innovative energy and drive into the methodical building process that Capricorn thrives in.Can we maintain our groundedness and learn to wield the building energy with intention and wisdom? Let’s practice!
