This latest version of the MHFA England course gives you the opportunity to qualify as a MHFAider. You will gain the knowledge and skills to spot the signs of a person experiencing poor mental health plus the confidence and skills to start a conversation and guide the person to appropriate help. You will also gain skills in looking after yourself as a MHFAider.

Hazel Sawyers is a quality assured MHFA instructor, who has attended the seven-day instructor training programme accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health. In 2015 and 2017 Hazel received awards from MHFA England for her training delivery and commitment to improving mental health literacy in England.
What will I learn on a two-day Adult MHFA course?
The training will include understanding the:
The Mental Health First Aid Action Plan and how it can be applied anxiety, depression, suicidal crisis, schizophrenia, bipolar, eating disorders and self-harm.
Everyone who attends the course will receive a MHFA manual, workbook, and access to the MHFA App, all of which are excellent support resources.
On completion of the course participants will also receive a certificate of attendance
QUALIFYING AS A MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDER
Once you have completed the MHFA course you can take the eAssessment and gain a MHFA qualification. This qualification is accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH). The qualification is a Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid and is the only one of its kind to be supported and endorsed by the RSPH which is the world's oldest public health body. The eAssessment is a 50 minute multiple choice quiz that can be taken in person or online. The pass mark is 30 out of 40.
