Interested in joining SMS for our future productions?Our next new member auditions will be held on Monday 9th March at 7pm at our rehearsal hall in Woolston: St Mark's Institute, 37 Victoria Road, Woolston, SO19 9DY.
There are THREE aspects to the audition:
💃🏼MOVEMENT: You will be taught a fun short movement piece to perform in small groups of three or four, so please ensure you dress appropriately.
🎤SINGING: You'll be asked to perform a section of a song of your own choice, usually only a verse and a chorus, to your own backing track. Backing tracks can be on any MP3 device such as your phone with bluetooth connection. We will not have a pianist present.
🎭ACTING: Finally, we will provide you with a small piece of lib to perform on the night.
Auditionees are usually informed of the result via email within 24 hours.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- You MUST indicate your attendance by selecting the “Going” option or by contacting us via email. Failure to do so will mean we don’t know you’re coming and should there be any changes we will not be able to contact you.
- Membership of the Society does not guarantee a place in any given production. Each new production is auditioned separately and parts are allocated according to requirements and ability.
