KunstWerkt traditionally opens the year with a group exhibition of new participants. This welcome gives these artists and KunstWerkt a new artistic impulse.
Stephen Blayds draws and paints. He is an artist out of both need and interest. He makes work to show himself a way to challenge to understand and to make decisions.
Karla Kaper is known for the metro wall at Slinge station glass and graphics and EAT ART in the 1970s. She shows new ceramics made in the European ceramic work centre.
Joni Kling is a multidisciplinary artist. Her work consists of paintings illustrations sculptures murals fashion and tattoos in a mix of Art Nouveau Cubism ancient Greek and Egyptian art and mythology.
Michalina Małolepsza's favourite technique is the linocut. Her latest works illustrate an internal journey an attempt to process the events of the past years and to tame conflicting feelings.
Natalia Olhova explores light emotion and connection. The warmth of sunlight the rhythm of the sea and fleeting moments of joy. She invites the viewer to discover their own stories in layers of colour texture and light.
Margot Rijven combines painting and collage techniques and uses glass wood sand metal textiles and old photographs. Her paintings are an ode to the shapes rhythms and patterns that arise from the capricious and unfathomable influences of nature.
Opening Sunday 12 January at 15:30 also New Year's reception. Jan Wagner our second oldest participant will pass the baton to the new participants so to speak.
