Building capacity and deepening the understanding of the Community School Strategy
A New York State Community Schools Technical Assistance Center (CSTAC), NYC Training
In this session, new Community School Directors (CSDs) will participate in a six-hour in-person intensive providing a holistic understanding of the Community School Model, clarifying expectations of the CSD’s role, building capacity, and developing a network of peer support within the cohort.
We aim to:

- Provide CSDs with insights into the fundamental aspects of a Community School
- Inspire CSDs to discover methods for fostering continuous development within their school community
- Familiarize CSDs with group support opportunities through team-building exercises and problem-solving discussions
- Make CSDs aware of the assistance and training resources accessible to them
