SoIN To Shakespeare (Southern Indiana Touring Shakespeare), was established in 2022 to bring Shakespeare into local communities in Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties, and beyond. Working closely with the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana, we produce 75-90 minute versions of Shakespeare’s plays with the aim of engaging and entertaining families, and giving children opportunities to be part of the show. We believe that involving children in performances at a younger age helps build positive associations with Shakespeare, live theatre, and the arts in general, leading to better educational and social outcomes.
Previous tours were A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2023), and The Tempest (2024).
Our Spring 2025 show, Much Ado About Nothing, will be performed in late April and May, and this year’s tour will include more pre-show activities and opportunities for children to participate, on- or off-stage.
