Our new program starts next month!!!!! May 22nd, 6-9pm, Red Willow Place.- Neutral Ground Men's Hub -
Join other men enjoying your favourite hobbies with other enthusiasts. The open evening is open to anyone who wants to check out the program, meet some of the guys, and see what kind of activities they're interested in! Bring your friends, teens, & grandfathers.
Come along with your husband, partner, or friend to support them while they check it out.
We have noticed that men as a whole are less likely to attend our events than many other groups, and we are aware that men's mental health is a growing issue. This combined with a great opportunity to work with the St. Albert 50+ Activity & Service Centre has spawned this program is super quick time.

Key Aspects of Men’s Mental Health Awareness
Significance:
Men are often socialized to avoid vulnerability, leading to delayed or prevented access to mental health support.
Statistics: In Canada, men account for nearly 75% of all suicide deaths.
Signs in Men:
Men may mask emotional pain through harmful behavior or report physical symptoms like headaches/pain instead of articulating emotional distress.
The "Why":
Focuses on dismantling the stigma that equates emotional suppression with strength.
