About this Event
Neurodivergent individuals—including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other cognitive differences—are often misunderstood, underdiagnosed, and underserved, particularly within Black communities. Cultural stigma, lack of access to resources, and systemic barriers continue to impact awareness, diagnosis, and support.
This panel discussion will create a safe, affirming space to explore these realities while uplifting lived experiences, clinical insights, and community-based solutions.
Together, we will:
- Increase awareness and understanding of neurodivergence
- Address stigma and cultural misconceptions
- Highlight barriers to diagnosis and care
- Share strategies for advocacy, support, and empowerment
- Connect attendees to resources and community supports
Who Should Attend:
- Community members and families
- Mental health professionals and healthcare providers
- Educators and youth advocates
- Individuals who identify as neurodivergent
- Anyone passionate about health equity and mental wellness
Why This Matters:
Mental health is not one-size-fits-all. By centering neurodivergent voices within the Black community, we can move toward more inclusive, culturally responsive care and support systems.
Come be a part of this meaningful dialogue as we continue to break stigma, build understanding, and cultivate change.
