Neurodicey at Wychwood Barns

Have you always wanted to try Dungeons & Dragons but couldn't seem to make it work? Too many rules and numbers? Couldn't find a group that you felt comfortable with?
We'll help you become the hero you always wanted to be! At this event designed for adult newcomers to D&D, we'll walk you through how to play and how to build a character. Then, one of our Dungeon Masters will take you and a small group of others on their first adventure!
This event is designed to be accessible for people who are queer, disabled, or neurodivergent - but all are welcome! E-mail us at [email protected] to arrange accommodations!
Tickets are Pay What You Can with a suggested donation of $20.
There will also be a raffle at the end of the event for prizes provided by our sponsors. Each ticket donation will come with 1 raffle ticket entry, with more entries available for purchase at the event.

Info: Players will register, be provided with materials, and also have the chance to enter the raffle for prizes provided by our sponsors.

Info: We will introduce players to the game and how it works. Players will learn about the roleplay, exploration, and combat phases of the game, as well as what the Dungeon Masters and players each do. We will give a basic overview of the most important rules and things to remember when playing the game. Details can wait until they're relevant in the game, we'll be focused on getting you ready to play.

Info: Dungeon Masters will begin by assisting players in creating a character, or reviewing any characters players have brought with them. After that, they'll take groups of 3-5 players on a short adventure to give them a feel for the game. The goal will be to give players a complete narrative experience, but priority will be given to spending time teaching new players, which may result in an incomplete or rushed ending to your story.
