Networking Event for Small Shop Fundraising Professionals

This event was conceptualized and is co-hosted by fundraising professionals Claire Fassnacht (Intuit) and Michael Workman (Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art).

Meet fellow fundraising professionals from Chicago cultural nonprofits. We encourage attendees from fundraising shops of 1-5 people, but everyone is welcome.

Featured speaker and fundraising expert Anne S. Kohn will speak to the importance of major gifts for cultural nonprofits and offer tips for getting started or strengthening you major gifts program.

Anne is Senior Director and leader of the Arts and Culture Practice Area for Huron | GG+A Global Philanthropy, where she brings to the firm more than 20 years of professional experience in the arts. Since joining GG+A, Anne has worked across all sectors of nonprofit with a particular passion for arts and culture clients such as Lyric Opera of Chicago, The Apollo Theatre, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Filoli Historic Home and Gardens, the Royal Ontario Museum, and Philadelphia Theatre Company.

Prior to joining Huron | GG+A, Anne served as Managing Director at Bristol Riverside Theater in Pennsylvania. In addition to producing and planning annual events, Anne cultivated relationships with major donors and local businesses to deepen the organization’s value in the community. Before her work at Bristol, Anne was Associate Managing Director at the Shakespeare Theater Company in Washington, DC, where she managed a $20 million budget and implemented an organization-wide communication plan. Anne holds an MFA in Arts Management from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Hiram College.

Anne serves on the board of Intuit, a museum of self-taught and outsider art.
