About this Event
Neti-Neti and sinonó are both ensembles made up of individual musicians who are each in their own right luminaries of the improvised music scene. Neti-Neti, a duo featuring the vocalist Amirtha Kidambi and percussionist Matt Evans, creates feedback-soaked sonic mediations that reckon with individual and collective grief. sinonó, a trio composed of the vocalist isabel crespo pardo, the cellist Lester St. Louis, and the bassist Henry Fraser, draws from lineages of free jazz and Latin American folk music in order to create prayerful works that are somehow both delicate and unwieldy.
