MEET NESSI GOMES

75 million streams. 30+ countries.

Nessi Gomes is a songwriter shaped by edges—cultural edges, emotional edges, the places inside us that don't clean up easily. Born to Madeiran parents in Guernsey, she grew up between languages, between islands, between identities. Maybe that's why her work sits in the in-between—not folk, not pop, not confessional, not theatre, but something raw and unguarded, carried by a voice that doesn't hide from itself.

"Hauntingly atmospheric and lushly textured nods to Björk & Kate Bush."
— Paul Lester, The Guardian

Nessi's songs honour the full spectrum of being human. She follows feeling where it goes, not where it's supposed to go. And in doing so, she finds light that hasn't been polished, only earned.

Her debut album Diamonds & Demons was crowdfunded by her community and featured on BBC Radio. She's shared stages and recordings with Sam Lee, Danit, Mose, Estas Tonne, Sam Garrett, Ayla Nereo and many others. Her work appears in the Oscar-nominated film Listen and the Fantastic Fungi soundtrack.

Beyond the stage, Nessi is a trained Creative Expressive Therapist and Holistic Voice Practitioner. Through her Vocal Odyssey retreats and workshops, thousands have worked with her—not in search of perfection, but presence.

Nessi is currently writing her second album, leaning deeper into shadow, tenderness, and the quiet courage it takes to stay open in a hardening world.
