DOORS at 21:30h CONCERTS 22:00h.NEON LIES (Zagreb, Croatia)
Neon Lies started as a synth wave bedroom one-man project in late 2015 by Goran Lautar while he was still singing and playing guitar in Modern Delusion and some other prominent bands from Zagreb D.I.Y. punk and post-punk scene gathered around the label Doomtown Records. Soon after that initial period, the project already became a full-time one-man band adventure delivering unique, intense, and emotionally charged live performances.
Since then, Neon Lies toured and played shows endlessly, releasing four albums “Neon Lies” in 2016, “II” in 2018, both on tape, then “Loveless Adventures” from 2020 on 12″ LP and tape, and finally “Demons” from 2024 released on Wave Tension Records (Eindhoven), Cosmic Brood Records (Zagreb) and on limited CD for Diffuse Reality/Periphylla (Barcelona)

Based in Berlin, this minimal cold wave/synth wave trio conjures an eerie magic through hypnotic analog textures and stark, pulsating rhythms. Sung in German, the vocals chant in liminal spaces, not ornamental but structural, as if holding up the softer undertones of the synths like steel beneath glass. There’s a tension throughout each song: the warmth of human presence counterbalanced by an icy, machine-like detachment. Their music doesn’t call from the void, but into it. Each track encapsulates a quiet invocation, both intimate and distant—like a transmission from a forgotten future. The effect lingers….unsettling and magnetic.
