On Thursday, April 3 from 5-6:30, join us at the Urban Ecology Center at Riverside Park for a walk/roll and bookclub. MilWALKee Walks will be hosting a short walk/roll (5-5:30), and then the UEC's bookclub team will guide us in a conversation (5:30-6:30).
The book, WALK by Jonathon Stalls, is a mix of stories from his cross-country walk, reflections upon our car-centered transportation system, and invitations to become a leader and advocate for safer and more connected places. Reading the book is not required, but you may want to familiarize yourself with Pedestrian Dignity and reflect upon pedestrian safety in advance.
