Needle Felting Class – Make Your Own PetTurn your beloved pet into a one-of-a-kind handmade sculpture in this 4-week needle felting course. Whether it’s a cat, dog, rabbit, or any furry companion, you’ll be guided step by step to recreate their unique features using wool.
This class is designed for beginners as well as those wanting to deepen their felting skills. Working in a small, supportive group, you’ll learn how to observe and translate your pet’s personality into form, texture, and expression.
What You’ll Learn:
• Introduction to needle felting tools and safety
• Understanding wool types and how to work with them
• Building a solid base structure and core shape
• Sculpting techniques for body, face, and proportions
• Colour blending and layering to match your pet’s fur
• Creating details such as eyes, ears, nose, and markings
• Adding character and expression to bring your piece to life
• Finishing techniques for a polished, lasting sculpture
Important:
Please bring clear photos of your pet (front, side, and any distinctive markings). These will be your reference throughout the course to help capture their likeness.
