About this Event
Join us for a magical afternoon of miniature-making as we transform vintage teacups into tiny, needle felted realms. Fibre artist Cathy Disbrow will teach you the secrets to sculpting wool into a mystical masterpiece. This hands-on workshop is a perfect duo activity for friends or a special Mother’s Day treat. No experience is necessary. Choose from a selection of vintage teacups, though you are welcome to bring your own special heirloom cup.
Make a full day of fun! Your ticket includes FREE Village admission, which opens at 11:00 a.m. for those who wish to bring a picnic lunch and explore the grounds. In a unique farm-to-art experience, you’ll felt with some wool from the Village’s own flock of Border Leicester sheep. Best of all, you can visit the sheep in their field before or after the workshop.
Materials included in the cost are wool, 2 felting needles, and a teacup. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.
If you have any questions, please email instructor Cathy at [email protected].
