About this Event
What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?
Please join Greenpeace Shoreditch for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing, followed by reflection and discussion on what’s happening with climate and nature, and what this means for everyday life in the UK now and in the future. This screening will take place at the vegan restaurant Love Shack & we recommend you order their great vegan food and drinks throughout the evening.
The National Emergency Briefing given to MPs in Westminster is now coming to East London. Last November, leading UK scientists and experts delivered a stark, evidence based briefing on the climate and nature crises to over 1000 politicians and national leaders.
Now that same evidence has been turned into a powerful 50 minute film and communities across the UK are being invited to experience it together.
This isn’t a typical climate film.
It lays out, clearly and honestly, what this crisis means for:
• our food
• our health
• our economy
• and our national security
And crucially, what can still be done.
After the screening there will be a facilitated discussion on what we can do locally to act on the information given in the film by the volunteer group Greenpeace Shoreditch.
