Menter Iaith Abertawe x NAWR yn cyflwyno…
Aml-offerynwyr hudolus o fryniau hudol y Preseli yw Dewin. Wedi’u magu yn gwrando ar gerddoriaeth jazz, corawl, clasurol a chanu Mamgu, mae Jencyn Corp a Lefi Dafydd yn barod i ddod â’u chwarae technegol i’r byd pop. Yn diffinio eu cerddoriaeth fel ‘wizard-pop’ mae’r band yn dilyn traddodiad Gorllewin Cymru o wneud pethau eu ffordd eu hunain.
Mae Louis O'Hara yn ganwr-gyfansoddwr o Ddoc Penfro, ac mae ei gerddoriaeth yn dod o hyd i harddwch ym manylion bywyd bob dydd. Gan gyfuno naws gwerinol, telynegiaeth farddonol, ac arddull siambr-pop, mae ei ganeuon yn tynnu o gof, teulu, lle, ac emosiynau tawel. Mae ei waith wedi cael ei ddisgrifio fel hiraethus, emosiynol a thyner, gyda llais agos, didwylledd.
Y Pregethwr yw prosiect Aled Warwick, yr artist unigol o Abertawe, sy'n canu darnau o Lyfr y Pregethwr i gyfeiliant yr harmoniwm. Mae'r gerddoriaeth yn tynnu ar synau arbrofol a dylanwadau canoloesol, gan greu naws "werin-fydol" unigryw.
*****
Dewin are multi-instrumentalists from the magical hills of the Preseli. Having grown up listening to jazz, choral, classical music and Mamgu's singing, Jencyn Corp and Lefi Dafydd are ready to bring their technical playing to the pop world. Defining their music as 'wizard-pop', the band follows that West Walian tradition of doing things their own way.
Louis O’Hara is a singer-songwriter from Pembroke Dock, whose music finds beauty in the soft details of everyday life. Blending tender folk sensibilities with poetic lyricism and subtle chamber-pop flourishes, his songs draw from memory, family, place, and quiet emotional truths. His work has been described as nostalgic, emotional, and tender, with an intimate voice grounded in sincerity.
Y Pregethwr is Swansea-based solo artist Aled Warwick who sings passages from The Book of Ecclesiastes, in Cymraeg, accompanied by the harmonium. Has been described as “an inherently Welsh, world music” - Pat Morgan, Datblygu.
