Want to help tackle climate change but don’t have the time to become a climate scientist? In just three hours, this collaborative and playful science-based workshop (Climate Fresk) enables you to understand climate change's physics, causes, and consequences and empowers you to take action. The session will help to connect climate change with our daily behaviors by providing an opportunity to discuss improvement plans both at an individual and company level.
Climate Fresk has become the reference tool for individuals and organizations to take ownership of the climate change challenge: +680,000 participants, 30,000 volunteers, 50 countries, and 45 languages. More details on https://climatefresk.org/
The workshop is collaborative 🌿🌍 The group (5 to 8 people per table) uses collective intelligence to link the causes and consequences of climate change using 42 cards. Each participant contributes to the understanding of climate change, and people learn from others via discussions.
The workshop is scientific & rigorous 🌿🌍 The workshop is based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. Since it sticks to scientific data, the Climate Fresk is a neutral and objective tool. It helps to address a topic everyone talks about, but very few understand. It also connects the topic of climate change to our daily behaviors.
The workshop is playful & efficient 🌿🌍 The joy of learning and understanding is the guiding thread of the workshop. Creativity (using pencils, colors, words) is also used to increase understanding of the topic. It raises awareness without making people feel guilty. It is easy to understand, to get into and to contribute to regardless of one’s personality and knowledge of the topic.
