Nature Walks at Lewes Railway Land
Join us for free, gentle guided walks at the Lewes Railway Land reserve. These walks are open to adults looking to experience the benefits of being outdoors, while learning about local wildlife and the unique habitats of this diverse reserve.
🌿 Explore the Reserve
The walks take you through various habitats including chalk streams, woodlands, ponds, reedbeds, and meadows. Along the way, you'll discover the rich history of the reserve, gain insights into its ecology, and learn from fellow nature lovers.
📅 When and Where
Walks are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 11am to 12:30pm, throughout the seasons. We meet at 11am at the Linklater Pavilion, Lewes, BN7 2FG.
👥 Group Details
Each walk is led by a two-person volunteer team, with support from on-site staff. The group size is limited to a maximum of 12 participants, ensuring a personal and relaxed experience. Walkers are encouraged to engage with nature at a slow pace, allowing plenty of time to observe and discuss the wildlife and surroundings.
💬 What to Expect
These walks are designed to be a relaxed and social experience. Take photos, inspect seed pods, and immerse yourself in nature. Whether you're attending for the first time or coming back regularly, each walk offers the chance to deepen your knowledge of wildlife and build connections with other group members.

To secure your place, please book via Eventbrite. Participants are welcome to join on a one-off or regular basis.

Dogs are not permitted on these walks to mantain a gentle pace and ensure our focus remains on our surroundings.
