Nature Connection for Families, Day 1: Igniting Awe (age 8+)

Calling parents, carers, grandparents, aunties, uncles and, of course, young ones!

If you want to spend more quality time outdoors, learning about and enjoying the natural world together as a family, we have some games, practices and skills to inspire and encourage you. We will tap into timeless and universal human passions for investigating mysteries, hiding, searching, sneaking, chasing, collecting, creating and inventing.

Day 1: Igniting Awe is about breaking through the boredom barrier and fueling motivation for exploring and learning in nature. Together, we will:

• Play fun bushschool games
• Capture the beauty and magic of nature with art and photography
• Learn first aid for snake and spider bites
• Practice fire craft
• And close the day with a fireside story circle

This program is designed for families with children aged 8 to 14. Younger siblings are welcome to come along, but will need close supervision and guidance to ensure appropriate behaviour.
