About this Event
Create a naturally dyed beautiful silk scarf using eucalypts and other plant matter from Gadigal and Dharawal Country.
Followed by a tour of the Recollection exhibition featuring all the bark paintings from our First Nations collection.
Stephanie guides this hands-on experience, drawing on her practice that straddles the art and science of eco-dyeing.
You’ll learn about the importance of listening to Country, explore natural dyeing techniques, and come to understand how seasonal shifts shape the colour and character of the materials themselves.
Silk scarf and all materials/ tools provided. Participants to bring a plastic lidded container to take home your damp scarf to dry.

- This workshop is for 16+
- We will cancel the tour by 1pm the day before if the minimum participants to proceed with the tour are not met. Participants will be contacted via email.
