About this Event
Using tie dye and shibori techniques via elastic bands and string, participants will create resist patterns on handkerchief-sized squares of cloth. The workshop will be using multiple colours in different dye baths to achieve a wide range of colours and patterns. Many of the colours will be those used historically in the local area.
This natural dye workshop will be faciliated by Sarah Weightman, Fashion Technician at London College of Fashion. This experience is for beginners and the chance to learn about the different colours and effects of natural dyes.
Please wear appropriate clothing that you are happy to create in.
